Last month, we featured information about one of our National MS Society scholarship recipients. But did you know that across the country, 689 students received scholarships, totaling more than $1.1 million? Because of events like Bike MS: Vegas Challenge, our Chapter and the National MS Society are moving forward towards our goal of one day creating a world free of MS. Here are some notable accomplishments so far in 2013:
- The MS Outcomes Assessments Consortium held their first annual meeting with the FDA to map out important steps in finding progressive MS therapies.
- The Society provided nationwide programs for learning about MS and disease management, through programs such as MS Learn Online.
- Our MSConnection.org community continues to grow, and three new volunteer-led support groups were launched within the last few months to provide support to carepartners, young adults with MS and people newly diagnosed with MS.
We'd like to give a huge shoutout to our newest Platinum Sponsor, Land Rover Las Vegas! They will be providing Land Rover SAG vehicles for use on the route, Land Rover tents, our Start & Finish line, and much more! Additionally, Land Rover Las Vegas is starting a Bike MS team!
